In the last few years we have been expanding our cooking skills to include vegan cuisine. Veganism, the practice of abstaining from using any animal products has become ever more popular recently.
From a dietary point of view of course this means refraining from consuming meat, eggs, dairy products, and any other animal-derived substances. After adapting to the initial challenges of cooking without commonly used animal products, we have fully embraced and enjoy cooking vegan food, it’s become a standard part of our daily work.
Vegan catering
The demand we have for vegan cooking is constantly increasing. We first started cooking vegan for one of our clients, the Nederlands Dans Theater, the demand initial came from the young dancers in NDT2, several of them had decided to become vegan. We had to meet the challenge of cooking the food they wanted and needed within their training and performances.
Since then we have provided vegan catering for various other clients, and as the demand increases we are constantly expanding our vegan options, including producing our own vegan products, such as mayonnaise and cheeses.
Vegan baking
As with our general vegan cooking, we have fully embraced vegan baking, it’s also become a part of our daily work. Vegan baking is an absolute pleasure, baking in a new kind of way, leaving the traditional ingredients behind, but still making deliciously tasty cakes, cookies, muffins, and tarts.
